What is Medicare?
Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people 65 and older in the United States. It is also available to people under the age of 65 who have disabilities or who have End-Stage Renal Disease. Medicare is divided into several parts that provide varying levels of coverage.

What is Medicare Part A?
Part A of the plan covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and some home health care. Part A usually does not cost anything.
What is Medicare Part B?
Outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventative services are all covered by Part B.
What is Medicare Part C?
Part C of Medicare is also known as Medicare Advantage (MA). These “bundled” plans typically include Parts A, B, and D. Plans may provide some extra benefits that Original Medicare does not, such as vision, hearing, and dental care.
What is Medicare Part D?
Part D of Medicare is also known as Prescription Drug Coverage. It aids in the cost of prescription drug costs (including many recommended shots or vaccines). Part D plans are provided by private insurance companies that have been contracted with and approved by Medicare.
What are Medicare Supplements?
Medicare Supplement plans, also known as Medigap policies, are intended to supplement Original Medicare Parts A and B. Medigap policies cover some health-care costs that Original Medicare does not cover, such as deductibles, coinsurance, and foreign travel emergencies.
